From Valley View, TX, Jason grew up with Lake Ray Roberts in his backyard. According to family legend, his love of fishing comes from an accidental fishing rod to belly while his mother was pregnant and fishing in Port Aransas, TX. Legend or not, his passion for fishing started at a very young age. After a few experiences being stranded when his salvaged 19ft outboard happened to run out of fuel, Jason traded in his motor for a paddle.
Jason has been through many kayaks, but whether peddling or paddling, he loves being out on the water. After graduating from UNT, Jason found a career in technology consulting. Jason is excited to combine his passion for technology with his life-long love for fishing to enhance the Kayak Wars experience for anglers across the globe.
Bryan & Courtney Thomas
From Dallas, TX, Bryan had to travel to the water. He grew up fishing ponds and creeks in East Texas with his grandparents, but didn't make it to the salt water until his 30s. Bryan met his future wife in high school, but they didn’t go on a date for over a decade. After living in small towns all across East Texas, Bryan met his wife, Courtney, for the second time in Paris, TX in 2011. Bryan graduated from A&M Commerce and SMU to start a career in financial services. Courtney graduated from nursing school and now works at a nursing home for the elderly.
Bryan, Courtney and their four children have now settled near Lake Grapevine. Bryan enjoys teaching his daughter and three stepchildren to fish at the lake near their family home on the weekends. When Bryan isn’t in his kayak fishing, the kids love to take the kayak into the backyard pool. Bryan started his kayak fishing hobby a few years ago when his little sister introduced him to her boyfriend (and fellow KW management team member), Jason Carter.
Adrian grew up with her older brother in Dallas and Paris, TX. Similar to her older brother, she grew up fishing with her grandmother while sitting on the banks of ponds in the pasture at the farm. Adrian’s first fishing memories include fishing for catfish with Zebcos, lawn chairs, and worms. Adrian considers herself a sedentary fisherman, enjoying relaxing with a fishing rod and a beverage waiting for the next bite. That is, until she met Jason Carter. Jason introduced Adrian and her brother to the world of kayak fishing. Their weekends haven’t been the same since.
